There are 3 steps to creating a Challenge via the Dashboard:
- Select Challenge Dates
- When do you want your Challenge to start and end?
- Do you want users to compete as Individuals or Teams?
- Action Focus
- Which Actions will count towards the Challenge?
Once you've completed these three steps, the challenge will be created. From there your community will be ready to play, or you will have the option to customize further.
This section determines when your Challenge will begin and when it will end.
We recommend starting late-morning on a weekday, or a time when your Organization is together in one place. This usually helps build excitement, and makes it easier to encourage others to join. New Challenges can't be scheduled more than 30 days in advance.
Challenges can be as long as 30 days, but we recommend somewhere between 5-12 days for most cases. We also recommend ending at a time when your Organization is together, such as afternoon on a weekday.
This section includes two options for Participants:
Individual Challenges are free-for-all, every member for him/herself. These are easiest to coordinate , since no teams are required to participate.
Team Challenges let groups of users compete against each other. You may have between 2 and 10 teams. You will have the ability to edit team names, pictures, and headlines after your Challenge is created.
This section determines which Actions will count toward the Challenge. It includes our most popular options based on your Organization's Action Pack.
