There are a few places where you can view users’ scores and they reflect different things.
In a Challenge:
- User Leaderboard: This is one of the possible challenge leaderboards visible in a challenge. This leaderboard has all the participants ranked by score. Their score reflects the total points that person has earned during the Challenge period.
- Team Leaderboard: If you are in a team challenge, there will be a team leaderboard with every team ranked by score. When you tap on a team from the team leaderboard, you see the users on that team. If your challenge is being scored with a moving average, their team members' scores here are their contributions to the team. These differ from the user leaderboard because they are impacted by the averaging. When a user logs an action, the total points earned is divided by the number of members on their team to determine how many points they contribute to their team score. You can read our FAQ for more on how challenges are scored here.
In a Profile: A user’s profile is completely separate from any challenge score. A user’s profile never resets to 0 and is a total of all their points earned, whether they are earned before, during or after a challenge.
If a user's only app activity has been competing in a Challenge, their Profile points may be lower than their Challenge score. This is because of special Challenge Bonus points received for participating in a Challenge. They are added to Logs during the Challenge and the user's Challenge score. However, they are not reflected in the profile.
